Household Chief of Staff
The person who holds it all together, so you do not have to.
Running a household at this level is a management job. Schools, travel, property, staff, suppliers, appointments, renewals and the small decisions that arrive without warning.
Most families do not need more help in the house. They need someone running it.
A Household Chief of Staff does for your family what a Chief of Staff does for a chief executive: holds the full picture, anticipates what is coming, makes the arrangements, follows up what is outstanding and brings you only the decisions that need you.
When families get in touch
It is rarely because life is busy in general. It is usually a particular moment, when the load becomes too much to carry alongside everything else.
A move, a renovation or a second property. Trades, quotes, schedules, utilities and insurance, and the supplier relationships that outlast the project.
Returning to work after a baby. Childcare, nursery and school applications, routines, and a family calendar that works.
A relocation or a return to the UK. Schools, registrations, housing, healthcare and suppliers, in the order they need to happen.
A change in family structure. Two households, shared arrangements and correspondence handled accurately and calmly.
An ageing parent. Appointments, paperwork and the coordination that tends to fall to one person, usually alongside a demanding career.
A business that has outgrown the household behind it. The founder is at capacity and home is running on goodwill.
If one of these sounds familiar, a short conversation is the right place to start.
Ownership of the whole picture
Lifestyle Management takes care of the specific tasks you hand over, well and discreetly. A Household Chief of Staff takes ownership of the whole picture: what is coming, what is outstanding and what needs your decision. You can start with either and move between them as life changes.
You gain judgement, follow through and one point of accountability for everything your household touches. Much of the work is invisible. You notice it in what no longer lands in your inbox.
What the role covers
Household operations. Calendars, routines, renewals, correspondence and filing, so the home runs predictably.
Family administration. Medical, dental, school and activity appointments, booked, confirmed, prepared for and followed up.
Education. Applications, deadlines, tutors, assessments and term dates, planned well ahead.
Travel. Itineraries, documents, logistics and contingency, prepared properly and briefed in advance.
Property. Maintenance schedules and contractors, with quotes compared on substance and works followed through to completion.
Household staff. Scheduling, briefing and handovers, working alongside agencies when you recruit.
Budgets and suppliers. Household budgets, renewals, contract reviews and providers who have been checked.
Your advisers. Coordination with your accountant, solicitor, wealth manager, agents and insurers, so you do not have to repeat yourself.
Scope is agreed with you in writing at the start. It can grow. It does not drift.

How we begin
The Household Review
A defined piece of work with a clear start and finish, so you can see how Bola works before committing to anything ongoing. The fee is agreed with you before work begins, based on the size and complexity of the household.
Over an agreed period, Bola maps how your household runs today: where time is lost, what is overdue, which suppliers are falling short and what is quietly exposed. You receive a written picture of how the household operates, a prioritised action plan, and the most urgent items acted on rather than simply reported.
If you continue to a retainer, part of the review fee is credited against your first month.
Third party costs and travel are not included.
The ongoing retainer
A set number of hours each month, a named point of contact and agreed response times. Reviewed each quarter and adjusted as your circumstances change.
Retainers are scoped around agreed responsibilities, not open ended availability. You know exactly what is covered, and Bola knows exactly what she is accountable for.
How Bola works
Discreet. Everything is handled in confidence, under written terms. Private client names are never shared.
Remote, with trusted people on the ground. Coordination is delivered remotely. Where something needs a person on site, Bola arranges and oversees a checked local provider.
Accountable. One person holds the brief, so nothing loses its detail being passed around a team.
Relevant work: a private client
Bola handles household, travel and personal commitments, giving the client headspace to focus on her work and be present for her children.
What the client says
“Bola takes ownership. She is proactive, resourceful and fully committed to seeing things through.”
Founder and private client
-
I often say Bola handles everything, and honestly, I'm barely exaggerating.
As my lifestyle manager, she supports me across my businesses, my household and my family life. From organising tutors for my children to planning holidays, arranging appointments and making sure visiting family members get where they need to be, she keeps so many moving parts together.
What I value most is that I don't have to manage every detail for things to happen. Bola takes ownership. She is proactive, resourceful and fully committed to seeing things through. When you're running businesses and raising a family, having someone you trust to that extent makes an enormous difference.
Her support gives me the headspace to focus on my work and be more present for my children, while still making room to enjoy my own life. That means a great deal to me.
Bola is exceptional, and I recommend her wholeheartedly.
